Do you know what i need to do to limit the movement of the door model 139 53650srt craftsman thanks.
Garage door trolley hits bolt.
Turn it to the middle position yellow line in fig.
They need to have a clear line of sight between them in order for the door to work properly.
For all but the top clip there are slotted bolt holes where the track is attached to the clip.
Was programed and working fine before today.
It is a craftsman 3 4hp model 139 53918d.
Stop bolt to remove the trolley from the stop bolt follow the steps below.
First visually verify that the trolley is against the stop bolt make sure the garage doorway is clear of persons or obstructions release the door from the garage door opener by pulling the emergency release handle manually bring the door to the closed position loosen the chain or belt by adjusting the outer nut 4 to 5 turns.
Verify if there isn t a block between them.
This may move the chain trolley of the garage door opener.
B if the trolley is in the middle of the rail and if it is at the top put it near the travel adjusting screw heads red line in fig b.
They are usually located on the side of the opener.
Don is correct in that you may have a stripped drive gear but you will need to remove the motor cover to see if that is the problem.
Some just have one for the stop for up position and one for the down position.
When my craftsman garage door opens up it goes all the way up until the trolley hit the safety pin.
If it does leave a 2 inch to 4 inch distance between the cover protection bolt and the trolley.
First you should check the safety sensors.
With the door closed the door should be touching the weatherstripping.
I have compared with the other garage door opener i have and it stops on the way up 1 2 inch before the trolley hits the safety screw bolt.
The key is that when the garage door opens or closes the centre limit contact moves up and down the centre white plastic drive gear screw.
Safety sensors are the electronic eyes near the base of the door track on both sides.
The image below will show you the front stop bolt.
Thank you for your question on the door trolley jammed against the front stop bolt.
Tried to reset opening travel distance but it keeps traveling to the stop bolt and clicking.
Then look to see if the rollers are in working order.
Trolley on garage door opener hits stop bolt and clicks 10 times.
